Dear Colleagues,

We all recognize the importance of international cooperation and education. In this context, the “Turkic World Cardiology Association” (TWCA) took a significant step by holding its first meeting in 1998, initiated by the Cardiology Associations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The association’s first “Statue” was designed in 9th November 2008.

Through the collaborative efforts of cardiologists from these countries, the “Turkic World Cardiology Association Congress” has been held nine times between 1998 and 2018: three times in Turkey, twice in Kyrgyzstan, twice in Kazakhstan, and once both in Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Since then, Turkish Society of Cardiology (TSC) has been served as the union’s secretarial activities.

At the TWCA Meeting, held on November 10, 2023, during the 39 th National Cardiology Congress of the TSC, a new Board of Directors was elected. The primary aim of the new board is to further strengthen international relations, support the participation of young doctors in scientific studies, and create more opportunities for collaboration.

This year, the Turkish Society of Cardiology has the honor of hosting the “10th Congress of the Turkic World Cardiology Association.” The congress will be held in November 2024 in Antalya, alongside the TSC 40th National Cardiology Congress. There will be simultaneous translation into Turkish and English during the meeting. Presentations will be in Turkish, English. We would be delighted to welcome you, our esteemed colleagues, to this important event to share knowledge and experiences.

Members of the Turkic World Cardiology Association who register for the “10th Congress of the Turkic World Cardiology Association” will also have the opportunity to watch the “TSC 40^th National Cardiology Congress” without paying any additional fee and will have a 50% discount on the congress registration fee. Members will be granted membership to the Turkish Society of Cardiology website and will have the opportunity to participate in all scientific activities online.
